There has been very serious outrage over the senseless killings of innocent people in Aurora, CO a couple of weeks ago. People on all sides of the political spectrum have been using it as a political item to discuss and argue for their view on USA gun laws.
One thing all of these people do share is the disgust, pain, outrage, and compassion for the victims, loved ones, and families of the victims of the senseless massacre, by that killer. All want him prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Given a fair trial, but prosecuted for his murderous actions.
But what I find sickening is that there was the EXACT same event in Afghanistan by an American solider and … no whereeven close to the same outrage for those innocent lives taken by that killer. Actually he is/was an American tax payer sponsored killer.
American tax dollars put him in Afghanistan, fed him, clothed him and paid for his weapons. The very weapons he used on his trek from house to house killing innocent, unarmed, sleeping; men, women, and children.
Yes one of the American TROOPS is responsible for this murderous rampage!!!!
Yet nothing, not even close to the same outrage. Dont hear; Our guns and people were responsible for the killing of these innocent people, we should examine our place in that country. Not even a call for him to be prosecuted.
Americans have not allowed the same attempt for justice for the Afghan people. American tax dollars took him away from Afghanistan! They did not allow the people of the area to jail him or put him or trial. Instead he was brought back to USA and will be put on trial here. Not at the location where his crimes were committed.
If the lawyers of the killer in Aurora asked for a change of venue to a different county there would be outrage, let alone a different state.
People go on and on about valuing human lives, but their actions speak differently. It really depends on race, class, and geography, and politics.
If you are outraged about Aurora, and righteously so, why do you blow off , an American tax payer funded troop massacre of innocent Afghanistan people.
They would not be dead, but for your support of the action. Your support of Bush/Obama placing him there and then yanking the ability to bring him to justice, right from under the people of Afghanistan.
Many who will read this, will have forgotten or not even remembered what happened in Afghanistan earlier this year.
Which is the point.
